Convention Day Three

Day three was just as amazing as day two!  Filled with swapping and classes and our brains being filled with so many ideas its hard to keep it all locked in!!  Oh, and I WON one of the prize patrols.  Its a stamp set and Designer Series Paper out of the upcoming Holiday Mini!!!  Sorry can't show it to you until after August 1 when I make something with it!  Edwin asked me if I slept with it that night!  Ummm no, but I did have to guard it from my roommates :0)

Stampin' Up! always does these amazing product displays so I thought I would share those with you.  If you haven't guessed by now.  The theme for this year was GROW.  They had this awesome main stage background.  And here's me in front of it.

This is from the Berry Blossoms Suite found on page 99 of the Idea Book and Catalog.  Hopefully you can click to enlarge the picture so you can get a better look.  Everything was just gorgeous!

I thought this display was so bright and fun.  Just made me want to go for a bike ride.  Products are from Big Top Suite found on page 62 of the Idea Book and Catalog.

Now this display belongs in my daughter, Sage's room.  She's a girly girl through and through and she LOVES pink and purple.  This display is from the Flirtatious Suite found on page 126 of the Idea Book and Catalog.

You Halloween lovers are going to love this!  It kind of makes you wish for fall......well almost.  This display is from the Frightful Sight Suite found on page 22 of the Idea Book and Catalog.

And look at this charming Letters to Santa display.  Santa actually did pay some of us a visit at convention...but you'll have to wait for the new Holiday Mini to see that.  .. But the products pictured below can be found on page 30 in the Letters to Santa Suite.

Convention Day Two

I know, I know you are wondering what happened to day one??

Well, I didn't get to SLC until after 8:30pm and really there is nothing to tell.  Other than my roommates, who took pity on me and brought me dinner back from the Olive Garden as I got to the hotel just as they finished up dinner.
And of course staying up WAY too late finishing up swaps and yapping!

My two roommates are Sandy Kanapilly and Donna Marcil.  Sandy and I have roomed together forever and are just two little peas in a pod.  And this is Donna's first convention and its been so fun to see it through the eyes of a newbie!!

Sandy is on the left, Donna in the middle and of course me!  I forgot my hairbrush and I didn't have my own hairspray or mousse, so I was winging it!!  YIKES.

We had dinner at this wonderful restaurant called Christophers.  I don't get to eat often at "real" restaurants so it was truly a treat.

Awards night was on Day Two.  I haven't gone to one in awhile and was glad that I did.  One of my tablemates from the Alaskan Cruise, Missy Shipman, was named to Stampin' Up!'s Advisory Board.  WOW, I'm so happy for her and its such an amazing honor to be picked.  TRULY, Stampin' Up! couldn't have picked a better person!  Congratulations Missy!

My other tablemate, Tammi Oakley, was named #23 Demonstrator of the Year!  I was truly sitting among the stars on our cruise.  I can't wait to pick her brain at Leadership as we'll be roommates this coming year!  YIPEE FOR ME!

I also had another one of my friends, LeeAnn Greff #43 (I think so many numbers to remember) Demonstrator of the Year!  We had eaten dinner with her at Christophers that night and we had ear to ear grins for her.  Congratulations LeeAnn!  You ROCK!!

Stampin' Up! truly spoils their demonstrators and I'm proud AND humbled to be among their friends.  They truly amaze and inspire me.

Stampin' Up! was mixing things up a little this year and had a fun little after party.  There was dancing and deserts.  And I HAD to share this picture of Donna.  She's a techno geck.  She's dancing the Electric Slide at the after party but can you really see what she's doing???   Yes, she is dancing but she's also texting!!

These swaps are my friend LeeAnn Greff's.  Aren't they beautiful?  I love the different colors.  You can't see it too well, but the brad in the middle is the polka dot brads we now sell with the new 2011-2013 In Colors.

Convention Swap

One post before I go.....

I did one organized swap for convention and here it is.  I totally CASED the idea from my upline, Tara Bazata.  I did her layout but changed it up a bit using the Big Shot a little more.  And of course the stamp set is the new set, Four Frames with Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in the middle.  You can't really see it in the picture but the white part is embossed with the Polka Dots embossing folder.
Off to the airport, I won't have computer access while away, but will try to post swaps received when I return.
Don't forget my convention special posted below.  Please take advantage!!!

Off to Convention!

Well tomorrow is my annual pilgrimage to Stampin' Up!'s convention.

So very excited to see all the new and 'stinkin cute' things they show us.  And of course just to have some fun me time!  Edwin calls it my "living the high life tour".

I wanted to show you what I did for my roomies.  Everyone that goes to convention gets the same bag so it can be a little crazy looking for the one that belongs to you.  So I made these personalized key chains for us.

I think they're cute and I hope they like them.

They have the little 3x3 post it notes in them, so when you are scrambling for that piece of paper you have it!
I used the new Wisteria Wonder and Concord Crush In Colors along with the Elegant Monogram Stamp set.  The set I used for the background is Circle Circus.  Way easy to make and I think super cute.

While I'm away, I'll be running my "Convention Sale".  For every $50 you purchase online through my website, I'll give you a $10 gift certificate to use on your next purchase.   And with the new catalog you know that will come in handy!!!  Just go to my website:  http://www.robynscherzer.stampinup.net/ and shop between July 13 and July 17.  Once I get home, I'll mail out your gift certificate.  This would also make a great gift for that crafy someone in your life!

Annual PJ Party!

Last Thursday was my 6th Annual PJ Party.  Its so much fun and most people really get in the spirit of being creative with their pjs.
You wear your pj's, we eat a huge pizza, we look at the New Idea Book, we stamp!
So here's Natalie Bauman in her PJ's.  She made the flowers with her Cricut and her little slippers had them too.

She even put little pearls on the flowers.  Way cute!!!

We did 2 make and take's using stamp sets from the New Idea Book.  I totally CASED both these cards from other demos.  I did change a few things but basically used their ideas.  This first one using the new Pennant Puch, I can not find who it was from so I apologize for not giving credit.

The stamp set used to coordinate with the Pennant Punch is Pennant Parade (both rec'd free from SU!).  And the Happy Birthday is from Perfect Punches.  Of course we used the Big Shot with the Polka Dots embossing folder for the background.  And we used Island Indigo and Pool Party from the new In Color family.  LOVE them and of course Rich Razzleberry.

This next make and take, I CASED from Lyssa Griffin Zwolanek.  Again, I changed it a little but basically its the same.  Its using the stamp set Sweets for the Sweets, that we got for FREE on the cruise.  LOVE the free!!!  And of course those are most of the new In Colors.

Remember to stop on by my Annual Craft Rummage Sale on July 9 from 9-3 if you are local, shoot me an email to get directions.

More Cruise Swaps and Cruise Pictures

Good Morning!
Well, I decided I should probably post some more of my Alaskan Cruise photos.  And I came to this epiphany because at one of my clubs the other night they were asking me about my cruise.  As I was telling them some of the things, they said, oh yes, we saw that on your blog.  And I had one of those duh moments of....someone is actually reading my blog!!!

I'll start you out with one of the cruise swaps.  We didn't do any swapping but people did bring samples to display in the Stampin' Up! Trading post.  So this is one of them using that great set out of the Summer Mini called Best Dad Ever.  I figured since yesterday was Father's Day, this would be good! Names could not be seen on any of the swaps, so I can't give credit where credit is due, but I will if I know who made it.

One of my favorite parts of the cruise was going into the Tracy Arm Fjord.  It was amazing.  I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it again.  It was so pristine and quiet.  We entered the fjord about 6am in the morning and it really was the only time we needed our winter coats.  We slowly  made our way to a glacier and as we did, we encountered an ice berg field.  It was beautiful.  Only God could have created such majesty. You can see the glacier at the end of the water.  It was light blue and WOW is all I can say.

Going towards the glacier we were surrounded by mountains and waterfalls everytime you turned your head.

And of course we must end in another swap.  Artist unknown.  Using Fabulous Florets out of the summer mini.  I LOVE that set!
