Apple Picking Time!

Good Evening Everyone!

Well, its fall time in Wisconsin, the air has turned crisp and the leaves are starting to fall........and that means time to go apple picking and of course pumpkin picking!

These first few pictures are from our trip Sunday to the Apple Barn in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  I've never seen the trees so heavy with apples, just beautiful so I had to share........these are Cortland Apples.

These next two pictures are of Sage having fun picking the apples........

This next picture is one of the reasons I call her Silly Sage.........

And of course the Apple Barn had pumpkins as well, but we bypassed them this time for these cute ones from Stampin' Up! convention last year!

Of course these are the awesome Build a Bear dies exclusive to Stampin' Up!  They are used with your Big Shot and are so easy to make.  Sage loves them and makes a ton of them!!  Halloween is quickly approaching so get your order in today!!!

Happy Sunday!

Well, its rainy and cloudy here today.  Perfect day for crafting!  I had my little "expo" yesterday and it went great!  Thanks to all who came by and double thanks to all who placed an order!

As I showed in a previous post we did the dry embossing of napkins.  So super simple and everyone loved that idea!

We also did 4 tags using the new set called, Tags til Christmas, from the Holiday Mini.  I LOVE this set because every tag in it coordinates with one of our great punches!  So easy, stamp it, punch it out!

The box template I found from http://www.danniesdesigns.com/. Thanks Dannie for sharing!!

I really hesitate to share these next pictures, but I just have to!  I have 2 clubs that comprise of  17 people.  These gals are my biggest support system and they range from newbie stamper to expert and way beyond me stamper, which I never quite understand why they don't become demos because they can put me to shame!

Well as I've stated in a previous post, all my clubs swap cards.  Now even though I'm a Stampin' Up! demo, I certainly don't force them to use only SU! (though I only use SU!, yes I'm a SU! snob!).  I love seeing how they have grown from newbie stamper to what they are today.  Some of things they've used are from SU! but you can see they've used a machine we do not sell and which through my demo agreement I can not name in cyberspace.

This first card is from Natalie Bauman, if you read any of the comments here on my blog, you'll see she goes by the Stampinator......love it!  She is a great hostess and has spoiled my family rotten with all the treats she brought on her club night.  And when you go to her home its like Martha Stewart!

The Goblin Greetings is from the set Grateful Greetings and is a multi-purpose set, including Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas greetings.  That's all I'll talk about since the rest is non SU! but its so stinking cute!

This next one is from another one of my club members, Debbie Hollister, aka Debbie Dog.  Cause Debbie has 3 dogs and well they are her babies!  Debbie was one of my original customers when I first moved back to Wisconsin and I can trace back about 50% of my customer base to her.  And that's been about 7 years.
Thanks Debbie!  OK, she really didn't want me to show you because she said she got the idea off of the internet, but that's what its all about, sharing!  So thanks to the original person who came up with the idea!

As you can see all non SU! but its a multi-dimensional card and now will be part of our Halloween decorations!!

Thanks to ALL my fabulous club members and all their wonderful swaps!!  You gals ROCK!!

Sneek Peek for Holiday Expo!

Ok, wanted to try to keep my promise of every other day posting.......so here's a quick post for tonight.
I have 2 clubs coming up on Wednesday and Thursday and than my Holiday Expo on Saturday.  I'm trying to create some samples from the just released Holiday Mini Catalog.

This first card, is a sample you'll see on Saturday if you stop by at the Peoples Bank in Elkhorn, Wisconsin between 10am-3pm.  Make sure you bring your camera!!  Again, I'm going to be showcasing the Holiday Mini.  This card is also my swap for the club I'm in.  I require my club members to make swaps, so it encourages them to use what they buy and to just create!  So many times, we just don't make the time to do it, so I'm forcing them...........yea, that's right forcing them! :0)  I'm in one of my clubs so I figured I'd kill 2 birds with one stone.  My swap and a sample....  I have a new club starting if you are interested in the madness let me know!  You could go home with this swap!!

Before you look, I have to give credit where credit is due.  I took inspiration from a card my upline, Tara Bazata, created.  But changed mine up a bit.  I took the inspiration from the pumpkin from Paisley Prints.  I loved how she used 2 colors for the pumpkin.  I used Pumpkin Pie (of course) and Real Red.  Just gives it a whole new look.

This next picture has the samples of the embossed napkins you'll be doing if you come to my little Expo.  Both of these are done with the 2 new embossing folders in the Holiday Mini, Spider Web and Northern Flurry.  Of course they are done with the Big Shot and my mini me, Sage, will be demonstrating how you do them.  So make sure you stop on by if you are in the area!  We'll be making 4 simple projects free of charge and one project that is a little more involved for a small fee.

I hope you are able to zoom in and see the detail better, I'm not the best blog picture taker!  But these are so stinking cute and so easy!  I bet you'd pay a pretty penny if you bought them like this in the store.  I bought a package of 30 plain cocktail napkins for a $1.  And now my Halloween or Christmas party will have that extra WOW factor!!

More Downline Swaps...

Good Evening!
As promised, here are a couple more of my downline swaps.  I can't rave enough about my downline!  They are a super group of ladies.

This first card is from Margie Slyck.  Look really close and you'll see she used the scallop trim border punch as a template and did some sponging over it to give it dimension.  Clever!

And this last card is from Micky Seerveld.  I know you are going to ask tons of questions, so go looky lou at her blog:  http://www.stampingcharm.blogspot.com/.  I saw she did a tutorial of sorts on how she did it.  This is WAY over the top!

I'll be back in a few days to show you some of the "projects" we'll be doing at my Holiday Expo.  Make sure you let me know if you'll be coming so I have enough supplies for everyone!
Have a super Monday tomorrow!

Downline Swaps-Awesome!

Good Evening All!
Well, I should be folding laundry...but I made a detour into my craft room, to show you the swaps I received from my awesome downline!  I know in a previous post, I told you my downline ROCKS!  And wait until you see these swaps!!  I hold a monthly downline meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, where we swap, do a business booster, chat, snack and of course do a make and take.  So the following are some of the swaps.  You could be in possession of these wonderful swaps too if you joined my team!  Give me a shout if interested, our group is called "The Craft Pots".

First card is my swap, I tried to challenge myself with the vintage look from the New Holiday Mini, I'm not thrilled with it but.........I didn't throw it away!

Next swap is from Roxanne Mandujano, you can NEVER miss with Lovely as a Tree!  The background is done on glossy cardstock and I just love the Pear Pizzaz ribbon.

Heather Sandler made this one.  Check out the spider web made with the new embossing folder from the Holdiay mini!  Oh my, I love it and the paper is from the big book and it has black flocking on some of the circles.  And the new black lace........I could go on and on.  Stamp is from a new set in the Holiday Mini called Dark & Dreary.  I just love the look of this card and how she pieced it together.

Stop by tomorrow for some more peeks at swaps!

More County Fair Cards!

Hi All,
Sorry, I haven't posted in a while, I know I said my goal was every other day, but with the County Fair and the first week of school..............well you know.........:0)

First, I just have to post this picture of my daughter Sage and her first day of 2nd grade.  She has all of a sudden become a fashion Diva and it cracks me up!!  For those who know me I am NOT a fashion diva, so I think she got that from her grandmas.  They both were!  Everything had to match from handbag to shoes........so you decide fashion diva??

Oh, before I forget I just updated my retired for sale with ribbon, cardstock and designer series paper, so if you've been looking for something that retired, I might have it.  Thanks for looking!

OK, so the following is some more of the cards we had on the display board at the county fair.  The next 2 are from my downline Micky Seerveld.  She is so stinking talented, when I grow up I want to be as talented as her!!!
This first one is all watercolor and look closely at the clouds, she took her scallop punch and sponged around the scallop to create the clouds.  How clever!!

The next two are from Margie Slyck's convention experience!  So I'm sorry I don't know the creators of them, she received them in swaps, so if you recognize your swap please post a comment and take credit.
They are all awesome!!  The stamp set used on both is Artistic Etchings, available in clear mount or wood block.

This next one is a 3-D swap that Margie got at convention, isn't it gorgeous??  I'm totally going to try it!

Its a washer (you know those things that help mechanical things work, how do you like that for a definition!), it has SU! Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper (I think) cut to fit the washer and covered with Crystal Effects.  Its just beautiful!  Again, don't know the artist but if you are it PLEASE PLEASE take credit!!!

Remember to check out my retired stuff!

I'll post tomorrow some of the great swaps we had at my downline meeting on Wednesday.  If you are interested in signing up as a demo, now is the time!  Check out the Greenhouse Gala Craft tote you get for FREE if you sign up!  Go to my website to sign up now!
Code word is: wisconsin

Have a great Friday!  Hey here in Wisconsin we do Fish Fry for dinner, try that for something different!

Walworth County Fair~2010

Hello Everyone!

Its been a busy busy weekend.  I have a booth at the Walworth County Fair and I have been working like crazy.  The weather is goofy, first 2 days it was warm but than stormed, Friday and Saturday it was COLD!  I had to wear my mittens last night!  I'm hoping today and tomorrow bring a little warmer weather.
But regardless, I've been having a great time meeting new people (and hopefully new customers) and just chatting about stamping and scrapping.  My 2 favorite hobbies!

So I thought I'd show you some of the artwork from of our booth.  The display board is a combined effort from a few of my downline; Micky Seerveld, Donna Marcil and Margie Slyck.  Margie was able to go to convention this year so she brought us a bunch of wonderful swaps from demonstrators across the country.
I have the most wonderful downline!  If you are thinking about joining, give me a jingle.  Our next meeting is September 8 at 7PM.

Here's a group shot of our display board.

This next card is from Donna, isn't it a cute bird house?  I'm going to try that for some of my workshops.

This is a picture of the Halloween Grouping we have at the booth.  The cute little luminara and Happy Thanksgiving card was made by Micky.  Inside of the luminara is one of those fake tea candles.  Just adorable flickering away.
This is a close up of the cute litte witches hat I made, you can't tell in the picture but those grey things are bats.  Numbers are cut with the Big Shot and Timeless Alphabet.

I'll post some more close ups in the next few days.  Happy Creating!

Please note, I've added a new page to my blog for retired items for sale.  Please check it out!

Simply Adorned~Love it!

So I've had some Simply Adorned charms FOREVER and have not played with them.  So last night I had a little time and decided I should start playing with them.  And this is what I came up with.  I love that you can make inserts for both sides or maybe put a picture on one side and your artwork on the other.......

Anyway, I've decided I'm going to do a class called Simply Adorned, Girls Night Out on December 3, 2010 at 7pm.  You'll receive the 1 1/4" x 1" charm along with one of the jewels and we'll make multiple inserts for holidays and for every day.  These inserts are so quick and easy and I thought what a GREAT Christmas or Birthday gift for someone that includes your personal artwork.

Here is my everyday insert....

Go to my classes page to see more details and cost.

Walworth County Fair starts today, stop on by my booth and pick up the new Holiday Mini and book your next workshop!
Have a great day!
