Stampin' Up! A Little Wild and Milwaukee OnStage

Hello!!!
I'm so excited to share!  I was honored to be asked to be a presenter at Milwaukee OnStage!  I had so much fun this weekend and can't wait to share what I presented but that will have to wait a little longer (until the shhhh order is lifted)!  Here's a few pictures of the fun.
Shannon West and I at the Center Stage events for leaders.  It was an 80's theme, as Stampin' Up! started in 1988 and celebrating 30 years!~She was actually on roller skates.  She is so adorable!  She was my "coach" for my presentation.  Kept me calm!
Looky lou!  I'm on the big screen!  Oh my gosh, so much fun!  Like a gigantic workshop with a 1000 people who all love Stampin' Up!

Here's some of my crew that went.  Lori Macari, Donna Marcil, me and Kristen Evert.  After the event the 4 of us did a shoebox swap.  How fun!  Stamping all day and night! Below is one of the cards I made.  I don't have this stamp set and I'm going to have to rethink that!  LOVE this little lion!
I'll be sharing some of the cards we made throughout the week.
Do you love Stampin' Up! as much as me?  I'd love for you to join my team!  For the discount and fun or to make a little bit of $$, your choice!  Now go stamp something!  Retirement list coming soon!

Stampin' Up! Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts

Happy April Everyone!

I do swaps with other demos throughout the year and this is one of them.  I love this stamp set and it can be found on page 34 of the Occasions Mini.  I love how she put wink of stella on the tiny flowers and popped them up (I know its hard to see in the photo).  And YES, they are fussy cut!  I hope you got your shimmer ribbon from Sale-a-bration because that is what she also used on this card.
Have a great day!  And try to stamp a little today!

Stampin' Up! Waterfront

In my March clubs we used the heck out of the Waterfront stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.  We practiced the popular "watercolor painting" with this stamp set.  If you like abstract art this is for you! I was inspired by a picture I took on my first earned incentive trip, an Alaskan Cruise.  I pulled out all the stops!

I made sure my watercolor paper was wet, not sopping but wet enough that when I stamped on it the ink spread.  I started with my "mountains" using the small mountain stamp.  I stamped in Night of Navy first.  Stamping the small mountain horizontal and each time I stamped it again, I angled the stamp up. You'll have blank spots that you just stamp over with the mountain in Night of Navy.  And because my mountains in my picture are almost black, I stamped over the Night of Navy a few times in Memento Black ink.  And blended the colors with my aqua painter.
Whenever I stamped I made sure my paper was wet.  If it wasn't I noticed it didn't blend quite as nice.
I stamped the mountain in the background in Wisteria Wonder.  My glacier was Pacific Point (I did stamp off so my color wasn't so intense) with White Craft Ink stamped on top.  When you start the process, you will say UGLY, but just keep working and you'll soon have a beautiful water color picture!  It was fun just playing and using the picture as a template.

And then we made a totally different card using the same stamp set.  Who can't use a quick easy masculine card??
All supplies used are listed below.  Now go stamp yourself a masterpiece!~

Stampin' Up! Embossing Paste

This month my clubs got to play with embossing paste!  WOOT WOOT!!
So many great things you can do with it.
The lighthouse card used just plain white embossing paste for the clouds and then while it was wet, we sprinkled glitter on top of them.  For the lighthouse,  I stamped off on one of the stamps in real red to give it that two tone look, as well as using the Real Red at full strength. And YES, its fussy cut!!!  Popped up with dimensionals.
I just love the brick wall!   And I LOVE that you can color the paste any color your heart desires, as long as you have the reinkers!  Just a little bit of the white paste, and a drop or two of reinker.  I put my paste (just a little) on my silicone mat and put two drops of Smoky Slate reinker in it.  I mixed with with one of my palette knives.  Remember, LESS IS MORE!!  You can put the white paste back in the container but can't when you've colored it.  So that's my caution for you.
I also recommend you put cling wrap over the top before you screw the cap back on and store it.  Remember its PASTE, it will dry out!
