Looky What Came in the mail for Me!

I'm so excited because I'll be heading off to Stampin' Up! Leadership next month.  I missed last year because I didn't register in time.  (Trust me this year, I was one of the first!).
What is Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference?  Well this year its in San Antonio towards the end of January.  And its where the demos who are wanting to build their business go to rejunevate after the holidays (if you will).  Its a conference packed full of ideas for business building, and of course Stamping!!
Stampin' Up! totally spoils us at any of their events but I LOVE this one because its a little smaller than convention and I pick up so many new ideas I can't even begin to implement all I learn.  And they always have a fabulous Manager's Reception.  These is for demos who have acheived the title Manager and above and boy do they spoil us!!  In past years we've had Manager Receptions at:  Disney World (Florida, this one my first one about 9 years ago), Dinner and a Polo Match in Palm Springs, a 50's type gathering, complete with cat eye glasses and pink bowling bag!  Universal Island of Adventures in Florida, where we had the park ALL to ourselves and I got up close and personal with Spidey himself!~
So you get the picture, we get AMAZING spoliage happening.  And this year we'll have an exculsive showing of the Chinese Acrobats of Hebi.
And here's the invitation I received in the mail today.  Of course it came wrapped in Timeless Portait Designer Series Paper.

Punch Art

Last Friday I had my Let's Get Punchy 2 and these were the cards we created.  Now keep in mind, I'm always searching out ideas and most of these I found from someone else and than changed them up a bit to make them more "mine" if you will.

The first 3 cards, I totally CASED from my friend LeAnn Gref, she's a total punch art artist!  The snowman I barely changed at all, it was so stinking cute just the way it was!

The second card I also CASED from LeAnn, but I have to tell you, one of the gals who came to my class is a cake decorator and she changed the way the cake was, by putting on a 3rd layer.  I just keep thinking, I wish I had a cake topper instead of candles and "DOINK" when I saw what she did, I changed mine too!  Thanks Lori!

And of course this 3rd card is from LeAnn as well.  Isn't she amazing???!!! I love the DSP its from the Holiday Mini and its called Spice Cake.  YUMMY!!

This 4th card I called the Bluebird of Happiness but Edwin keeps asking me why I've made an angry bird!
I got this idea from FusbyRuth on SCS.  I love that all those gals are so giving and love to share!!

Family Gift Giving!

I just finished this project for a class I'll be doing in December and I just LOVE how it turned out!  I think I'll be doing one for multiple family members....shhh, don't tell!  And I think YOU would love it too to make for Grandma/Grandpa, mom, aunt etc....
I actaully CASED this from Stamp to the Max.  I didn't do it exactly like her, I changed a few things up but what an awesome idea!  Thanks Max!

Here's the deaIio...If you were to do this project on your own, you'd probably spend over $200 on just the supplies used. Heck, the Serif Essentials Alphabet, for the Big Shot, alone is $149.95. (Which by the way I just got and I DO love them. Can't wait to make some birthday banners and holiday banners with it).

I'll be offering 2 classes to help you in your Christmas gift giving for only $30! Saturday, December 10 at 2pm and Friday, December 16 at 7pm. The class includes what you see above (except for the cute family pictures), the frame and a bottle of Tombow Multi Adhesive to help put it all together.

If you are distance from me, I'll be offering this by mail as well, cost is still $30, only thing I won't ship is the frame.  But written directions and all elements will be included, you just need to buy the frame and put it together at home.  Shipping will begin week of November 21, 2011.
Email me if you are interested.

Chalkboard Technique

At my last downline meeting, Vicky Brockman, did our make and take and here it is....

We did a technique that in my 10 years of being a demo, I've never done........we stamped in white craft ink (we used Awash with Flowers) and colored them in with colored pencils.  We than outlined everything in white gen pen.  I think it looks pretty cool.    Thanks Vicky for sharing!

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Here's a card to wish you well on this day!  I totally CASED this from Jan Hoyt's blog.  I just love the little owl from the hostess stamp set, Warmest Wishes.  And of course to be able to just punch him out with the owl punch is an added bonus!  Only thing I changed was the Happy Halloween.  That's from a new stamp set in the big Idea Book called Delightful Dozen.

Pumpkin Carving and Pumpkin Punching!

WOW, October has certainly flown by, I can't believe Halloween is in 2 days!  I have a quiet moment and thought I better get some posting done!

I have to share a few personal pictures.  My neice, Piper and my daughter Sage have carved pumpkins together now for a few years.  They love each other and unfortunately we don't get to spend a lot of time together even though we only live a city a part.  Life just gets in the way, but times like this make me think we HAVE to make time for the fun family times!!!

This first picture cracks me up, because notice Marley in the lower left hand corner??  He's totally absorbed in what the heck the girls were doing.  He sat like that the whole time they were craving.  Whereas his brother, Murphy really didn't seem to care.

Of course there was lots of messing around before the finished products were done.  You know, pretending to eat the guts of the pumpkins.  Feeding the pumpkin to the dogs etc.
But below is the finished pumpkins.  I really love this picture of Sage and Piper, no clowning, just their beautiful selves!

And course because this is a blog about papercrafting........here's what we made this month in some of my workshops.  I'm forever forgetting to write down where I found the idea.  But I get most my inspiration from SCS.  And a gal there was kind enough to do a tutorial on how to make the below pumpkin.  Of course its punched out with the 2 3/8 scallop circle punch.  You do that 6 times, score them in the middle and add a little inking around the edges.  Attach 3 of them together, so you have 2 halves.  Using sticky strip on both halves, put a paper clip in the center of one of the halves.  The branches are from the bird punch, you put those on the sticky strip as well.  Cut the bottom scallop off each half, put a penny on top of the sticky strip at the bottom, for weight.  Put the 2 halves together and presto! you have a great name place holder for Thanksgiving!!!

When my club gals saw this, they started going on about all the other great ideas you could do....if you had a buffet, place in front of each of the dishes.  Make them out of the ornament punch for Christmas, make them out of the Scallop Square punch like Christmas presents, etc etc.....they're so smart!

Witch's Shoe

I wish I could take credit for this but I can not........at my last downline meeting, Roxanne Mandujano brought a show and share of her Halloween Class she did last month.  And this is one of the projects.  I had a hard time taking a good picture of it so here are multiple views.

She said she found the template online so I can't help you with that but I will do a search because of course we all started yelling out ideas of what other type of slippers you could make.
Princess slipper, Dorothy's shoe from Wizard of Oz (wouldn't that be cute with our red glitter paper!), wedding shoe, pink breast cancer shoe, etc.

She also had the class stamp in black stazon, the cello bag with spiders.  CUTE CUTE!!!

Season's Greetings

I should probably save this one for my 12 days of Christmas but I just had to share today!  I had my downline meeting last night and this is a swap done by Donna Marcil.  How clever is this??  She used the stamp set Jolly Bingo Bits to stamp the JOY.  WAY cute and look she used the new 1" square punch.  And that new quilted ribbon out of the Holiday Mini.  Great job Donna thanks for sharing!

Its a Wrap!

Here's one of the projects we did in my clubs last week.  Really super easy and everyone seemed to be WOW'd by it.  I sold 9 of these stamp sets, so I'd say yea, it wow'd em!

The stamp set is in the Holiday Mini on page 14 and its called It's a Wrap Holidays.  We used markers to color the stamp so we could get different colors.   Stamped on Avery Labels and wrapped them around a Hershey Nugget.

And of course the topper was made with the Big Shot and the Top Note and Spider Web Embossing folder.  Way easy and super cute.  Sage and I will be making these for her class this Halloween.

And don't forget, Stampin' Up! is running the deal for the Free Big Shot if you join the Stamp' Up! family this month.  Its an amazing deal!  Over $435 worth of product for only $175!!!

I would love for you to join my group The Craft Pots.  Go to my website: http://www.robynscherzer.stampinup.net/ and to the join now tab.

Thank you!

I got this awesome card in the mail yesterday from my upline, Tara Bazata. I completed a challenge she threw out there during convention, this was my Thank You card.   I love love how the ribbon has become the petals of the flowers.  She's so creative!

And now I must buy the stripes embossing folder!  I love how it looks on the background.  Thanks Tara!

Punch Art and Apple Picking

Good Morning, Even though I LOVE to scrapbook, I never seem to have the time to do it!  Well, I had a workshop last night and one of the gals had requested a scrapbook page.  Oh my!  Haven't done that in a while but I'm up for a challenge!  So after looking around SCS and seeing many different things that inspired me (thanks to all the ladies who post over there!)  This is what I came up with.......if I do say so myself, I'm really proud of this page.  Can't wait for Christmas to fill it with pictures.

This picture doesn't do it justice, but trust me, its gorgeous!  I did a 6x6 to start with to show them how to do a progessive page.  I used Bashful Blue, Night of Navy and Real Red cardstock.
And of course our fantastic glitter paper!  I LOVE that stuff!.  My tree is made out of about 10 large hearts punched out and sponged with Bashful Blue to give them that "chilly" effect of snow on a tree.  I was bummed we don't carry a star punch any more and I didn't have the Big Shot star dies.  But I actually had an ah ha moment when I looked at the Boho Blossom punch! And of course the tree trunk is with the Modern Label punch.

To keep the snow away just a little longer we did do our annual apple picking day on Sunday.  It was a beautiful fall day, the sun was shining and I was with my little family.  Every year we go to The Apple Barn in Elkhorn.  Its one of the last orchards out there that actually let people pick apples off their trees.  We started this tradition about 5 years ago and we just love it.

Here's my artist picture taking!  I just love the cluster of apples within the tree.

Edwin and Sage always the hams!  Its hard to see Sage's face in the shadows but she has a half eaten apple in her mouth.
 Me and my girl!

Button Buddies

Last Friday, I had a Button Buddies class.  I copied these right out of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog.  I think their cards are a little larger, but I decided to do 3x3 cards.  These are my 3 favorites!!

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE that those little buttons match perfectly!!

For some reason this piggy's nose just makes me smile!  Perfect!

We of course used the Button Buddies stamp set (which I earned for free through Sale-a-Bration as a demo, ask me how!) and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  I love that stamp set.  You can use it for cardmaking, scrapbooking, anything!  And of course we used a variety of buttons from the Brights and Subtles collection.  And the "thread" is the Bakers Twine.  What a great value that is!!!

Day of Gratitude

Fall is in the air!
Here's another card we made at the workshop I went to on Saturday.  This is doing the emboss resist techinque.  Its so pretty!

We used craft ink and embossed over it in clear embossing powder on glossy cardstock.  We than sponged over it with So Saffron, Tangerine Tango and Real Red.  Wiped off the excess with a paper towel and Viola!

Dark & Dreary..

Well, that's the perfect title for today!  It was Dark & Dreary, it rained all day.

Yesterday I was invited to a Stampin' Up! workshop of one of my downline, Ginger Boomfield, and of course I went because that means I don't have to prep anything!  Only create and of course buy something. :0)  She's so incredibly creative and of course I will probably be CASing away soon.

I just love this technique and I plan on doing it for my clubs with the Northern Flurry embossing folder.  LOVE IT!!

Stamp set used is Dark & Dreary.  Spider is cut out by hand.  We used the Spider Web embossing folder and brayered Basic Black onto the folder and just put in a Whisper White piece of cardstock.

Way cute!!

And the Winner is.....

So as you saw in my previous post I was at the Walworth County Fair this past weekend.  It was a huge success, which made it a happy time but also sad because for us it means the end of summer and school starting.

But Edwin and I met a ton of nice people and one of them won our door prize basket filled with over $100 worth of Stampin' Up! product.  Congratulations to Patty Kolin of Lake Geneva!  If I had been thinking straight I would have asked her to let me snap a picture of her and all her goodies.....and she even gave me a goodie in return!  Homemade chocolate zuccini bread!!  YUM YUM!!!  Thank you Patty!

After visiting with Patty and her hubby Ray, we headed over to the annual Darien Cornfest.  Every year its a huge festival which gives away FREE corn!!  Yep, its harvest time here in Wisconsin and I just love fresh corn on the cobb.  They have huge trucks filled with corn and these industrial roasters and you just line up and grab some corn and dip it in a big bucket of butter.  DIVINE!!  Eat until you can't eat anymore.

One of the things we discovered there a couple years ago was a cookie decorating contest they do for the kids.  We didn't make it there last year but the year before Sage placed 1st place in her age group.  So we headed over there again this year.  And she placed 2nd!  Good job Sage!

Below is all the competition she was up against......that's right sugar cookies made to look like an ear of corn.  Of course!  What else would they be??

Below is Sage and her winning cookie along with her ribbon and goodie bag.

To finish off today's post, this is one of the cards we did at my last punch class, Let's Get Punchy.  The next one is scheduled for November 4 at 7PM.  If you are interested sign up by October 25.
My card was inspired by one I saw on the boards at convention.  Love it!!!

This weekend is busy to say the least!  For the 3rd year in a row, I have a booth at the Walworth County Fair.  Its a lot of fun and I love meeting new people!  This year, my supporting demonstrator, my hubby Edwin, has really helped out!  Fiji is on the horizon and he doesn't want to miss out and neither do I!!

We did some creating with items from the new Holiday Mini.  If you don't have it stop on by my booth and pick one up!  I'm right across from the fair office.  And if you place an order with me at the fair, I'll give you FREE shipping!

We are doing a little make and take with the Stitched Stockings stamp set and coordinating Stocking builder punch.  Don't you just LOVE the glitter paper???  We now have it in silver too!!

I got the idea for the box while at convention.  I just LOVE this Big Shot Bigz L Die!  Yes, that's right its in the Holiday mini.  And it has the cutest Stocking Accents!  This just might be Sage's classmates Christmas box this year.

If you'd like to make this cute little box and see other items showcased from the Holiday Mini, book a workshop in September or October!

Don't forget to stop by my booth at the fair Sunday 10-3:30pm or all day Monday to get your FREE shipping with any other you place with me at the fair.

Rotary Gardens

Sage and I went on a big adventure on Saturday to the Janesville Rotary Gardens.  They were so peaceful and so so beautiful.  It was also their annual Garden Festival so we also got to taste all types of peppers and even fried green tomatoes!  Now those were yummy!!

Sage took this picture for me because I loved all the different shades of orange. God sure knows what He is doing!

While we were there Sage got to make a Ristra.   You know one of those red pepper hanging things that you see in New Mexico all the time.  Yeah, I didn't know it was called that either.  Its now hanging in our kitchen.

On Friday I had my Let's Get Punchy class and to go with the garden theme we made this card.  I got the idea off of SCS.  But its basically the Full Heart punch run through the Polka Dots embossing folder in the Big Shot.  And the DSP is from the Berry Blossoms paper.  And of course our cute new Scallop ribbon.
Oh and that cute doily circle behind the strawberry is from the Perfect Pennants Big Shot die.

Sail Away

The following card was given to me by my friend LeeAnn Gref on the Alaskan Cruise.  She's an amazing lady.  She came home from the cruise to a home flooded by the waters in Minot.  Makes me sad just thinking about it.  Please put her in your prayers.

The stamp set is from the Summer Mini and its called Sail Away.  The summer mini will be expired on August 31, 2011.  So best to order it now!!

Can you see how she made the captains wheel?  Word window punch and white gel pen.  And that Bakers Twine on the bottom.  LOVE IT.
Thanks LeeAnn!

Cupcakes oh my!

I don't know if you are just as enthralled as my daughter, Sage and I are with all the baking shows?  Well, we of course LOVE Cake Boss and we also love Cupcake Wars.  So I thought this next card was perfect for us!
The idea was given to us at convention as part of their plus One campaign.  We did awesome make and takes and as we were leaving the make and take area they gave us a bag full of projects we could take home to use at our own workshops.  If you were at or hosted any of my workshops this month, you got to make it!

In the spirit of the cupcake.....we discovered a new cupcake place in a town next to us called OMG Cupcakes.  If you are ever in Lake Geneva I highly recommend stopping.  They have DIVINE cupcakes.  The first time we stopped in Chef Sam invited Sage to come back anytime and frost cupcakes with her.  Well that's what we did on Saturday.  OMG they were good!!!

Here's Sage with Chef Sam learning to hold a pastry bag.  She got really good at it doing it one handed!

And of course this is the finished product.  Some of the cupcakes met an untimely death before we even made it home.  Man they were good!

Sweets for the Sweet

I know convention has been over for a couple weeks, but I have to share this picture.  These are all the FREE I got while I was there.  6 stamp sets, extra make and take packets (which I'll be sharing one in August if you host a workshop) and just too much to mention.  I sat down and figured it up as best I could and I got over $200 worth of FREE!!!  So if you've ever been thinking about becoming a demo, this is for sure one of the perks!

While I was on the Alaska Cruise, we were able to do make and takes and we were given a big bag of supplies to do so.  This is one of the projects.  Its made with the stamp set Sweets for the Sweet.  And you can see the groovy new ruffled ribbon.  LOVE IT!!  And of course all the new In Colors. Its one of those cards that you can put pictures in.
I decided I wanted to show my club members and other customers how simple and cute this would be.  The buzz was Christmas Card!

Since I didn't have all the supplies to remake in bulk, I pulled out my color coach and came up with this one instead.

And here's the inside.  My cruise sample was stamped inside as well.  But I left it off this one.  All you need is a 8x8 piece of cardstock.  Fold in half, turn it 90 degrees, fold in half again, and do ONE triangle.  Take one corner and fold to the other corner in a triangle.  And you have your little book.

More convention pictures

Thought I'd catch up with some more pictures from convention.....

This one was one more of the suites found in the New Idea Book and Catalog.  Its called Just Add Cake found on page 155.

I thought this picture was appropriate since Stampin' Up! is running the special of the $99 starter kit.  You can see on the wagon it says "High Flyer Starter Kit".  You have until July 31 to take advantage of the discounted starter kit AND get the Keepsakes Box.  I realized that the stamp set you get with the Keepsakes Box is a stamp set out of the new Holiday Mini.  So what do you have to lose??

Donna and I headed over to Stampin' Up!'s headquarters in Riverton on Friday night.  Of course this is me by the SU! sign.  Love the mountains in the background.

Inside SU! has a museum of sorts.  Has their history in it along with some awesome displays.  This was one of them.  I would LOVE to have a craft room like this!

Inside they also had this sweet shoppe dispay of all this candy and baked goods made out of paper.  Just amazing....

We also got to wander around some of the offices and this was a display by someone's desk.  Wouldn't it be fun to work there??

We got to see the distrubution center, look at all those stamps, glorious stamps!!!

And this is the Atrium when you first walk into SU! headquarters.  Its so serene and calming.  They have tables for their employees to eat lunch there.  Its just beautiful!

And to end my post today, 2 swaps that were gotten at convention.  I do not have these in my possession.  I snapped pictures of them from someone else.  So I do NOT know the artist.  If you are the artist please feel free to let me know.
